Inspector of Works – Civil & Structural

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an Inspector of Works (Civil & Structural) to ensure construction activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will play a pivotal role in monitoring site works and supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure and building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities against approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and document findings.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and method statements, reporting any discrepancies.
• Attend contractor‑led inspections and testing, recording results.
• Participate in site meetings and issue memos for non‑compliant work.
• Support monthly progress claim verification and variation order processing.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, and progress reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil and structural supervision, preferably on industrial or institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of data‑centre construction, precast structures, structural steel, and local construction practices.
• Valid driving licence for site mobility.
• Relevant diploma and registration as an Inspector of Works with BEM.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD; BIM experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
