Import Export Operations Internship

About the role

This internship offers a hands‑on experience in import‑export operations within BASF’s supply‑chain function in Malaysia. You will work on real‑world projects, apply theoretical knowledge and gain exposure to logistics, order management and emerging digital technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Support tracking of shipment schedules and update details in SAP.
• Learn end‑to‑end shipment processes, including Incoterms.
• Collect, verify and upload key shipping documents using Power Automate.
• Assist automation initiatives to simplify cross‑team workflows.
• Participate in improvement discussions and help develop action plans.
• Contribute to tactical projects aligned with import‑export objectives.
• Handle administrative tasks related to import‑export activities.
• Prepare documentation for standard and exceptional order‑management tasks.

Required profile

• Availability for a 3‑ to 6‑month internship.
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proficient in oral and written English.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel.
• Team‑player with a high level of maturity and independence.
