Import Export Operations Internship

About the role

The Import Export Operations Internship at BASF SE offers students a hands‑on experience in global supply chain processes. Over a 3‑ to 6‑month period, you will work within the import‑export team in Malaysia, supporting shipment tracking, documentation, and digital automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Track shipment schedules and update details in SAP.
• Learn end‑to‑end shipment processes, including Incoterms.
• Collect, verify, and upload shipping documents using Power Automate.
• Assist in automation projects that streamline work processes across teams.
• Participate in improvement initiatives and tactical projects.
• Prepare standard and exceptional order‑management documentation.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related fields.
• Available for a 3‑ to 6‑month internship.
• Proficient in oral and written English.
• Strong team player with a high level of maturity and independence.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of SAP.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Power Automate.
