Head of Art – Secondary International Section

About the role

The Head of Art will lead the Art programme within the Secondary International Section of Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park, Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape curriculum, mentor staff and ensure high‑quality learning experiences for students aged 11‑18.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Art curriculum for Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including IGCSE and A‑Level pathways.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the Art teaching team, fostering collaborative practice.
• Promote a student‑centred environment that prioritises wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Drive continuous improvement through data‑informed decisions and innovative pedagogy.
• Represent the department in school‑wide initiatives and external partnerships.

Required profile

• Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education or related field with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Diploma in Education or equivalent).
• Proven middle or senior leadership experience in a secondary school setting.
• Deep knowledge of IGCSE and A‑Level Art curricula.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to professional development.
• Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and pastoral care.
