Global Operations Support Intern

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented intern to join our Global Operations Support team at BASF’s Regional Service Hub in Kuala Lumpur. The role will support maritime activities for the EMEA region, providing administrative and analytical assistance to the operations department.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the operations team with day‑to‑day administrative tasks.
• Support units with troubleshooting and issue resolution as needed.
• Generate and maintain reports that deliver insights for decision‑making.
• Prepare and manage documentation for operational processes.
• Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute taking.
• Track pending operational tasks to ensure timely communication and follow‑up.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• High attention to detail and a proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.

• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
