Global Customs Operations & Performance Manager

About the role

The Global Customs Operations & Performance Manager will lead a dedicated team responsible for delivering customs verification, documentation review and compliance services across the region. This senior position ensures seamless collaboration with internal business partners and external service providers while maintaining high standards of quality, risk management and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the customs services team, setting goals and monitoring performance.
• Ensure all import/export activities comply with local customs laws, international trade agreements and regional free‑trade agreements.
• Stay updated on country‑specific regulatory changes and drive automation and process enhancements.
• Plan, execute and monitor customs‑related projects such as system implementations and regulatory change initiatives.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks related to customs valuation, compliance and enforcement.
• Support internal audits, investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Act as primary contact for customs authorities and provide training to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, knowledge bases and assign clear process ownership.
• Coordinate with supply‑chain, legal, order‑management and other cross‑functional teams to ensure end‑to‑end compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading customs, trade compliance or related operational teams.
• Deep knowledge of customs regulations, free‑trade agreements and international trade practices.
• Strong project‑management background with ability to deliver system and process improvements.
• Experience in risk management, audit support and implementation of corrective actions.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement skills across internal and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and motivate team members.
