GL Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a GL Accountant to oversee end‑to‑end general ledger activities and ensure accurate, compliant reporting for both group and statutory purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Support statutory reporting and tax filings where required.
• Handle end‑to‑end GL bookkeeping and monthly journal entries.
• Ensure timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Perform account reconciliations, analysis, and P&L / balance sheet reviews.
• Monitor cash‑flow forecasting in collaboration with the Treasury team.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Maintain fixed‑asset and investment records.
• Support process improvements and assist junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2‑5 years of experience in finance accounting and reporting.
• Previous experience in a similar General Ledger environment or SSC/BPO is advantageous.
• Computer literacy with Excel, Word and large enterprise systems (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle) is beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal English; additional language skills are a plus.
• High level of accountability, accuracy, efficiency and ability to multitask.
