GL Account Analyst

About the role

Inchcape Shipping Services is seeking a GL Account Analyst to support its finance function in Shah Alam, Malaysia. You will be responsible for accurate general ledger processing, month‑end close, and financial reporting in line with IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post GL journals using Unit4 accounting system.
• Support month‑end and period‑end close activities and produce variance analysis.
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements and collaborate with Local Finance, AR, AP, and Treasury teams.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting compliant with IFRS and maintain finance policies and manuals.
• Provide accounting support to regional and on‑shore teams and assist Country Finance in financial statement preparation.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, or ACCA/CPA qualification.
• 1+ year of relevant experience or a fresh graduate with strong accounting fundamentals.
• Good knowledge of IFRS, statutory accounting and consolidation principles.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and good written and spoken English.
