General Ledger Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Specialist, Accounting to Reporting (AtR) will ensure that transactions for the APJC markets are properly accounted for and accurately reflected in the company’s records. The role works closely with Local Finance Teams to guarantee compliance with US GAAP, local statutory and tax requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general ledger support and period‑end close for the AP region.
• Maintain an accurate accounting ledger with timely posting of all required items.
• Execute monthly account reconciliation processes in line with corporate standards.
• Review and sign off the final financial package and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with SOX and audit controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and participate in special projects.
• Collaborate with Virtual Finance Teams and other BSC towers across regions.
• Meet defined KPIs and service‑level agreements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 4 years of finance/accounting experience in a multinational, preferably pharmaceutical.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and non‑US GAAP environments.
• Business‑level English communication skills.
• Experience with SAP and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
