Freight Cost Management Senior Executive – Japanese Speaker

About the role

The Senior Executive will support Accounts Payable services for BASF companies in the Asia Pacific region, ensuring compliance with BASF policies, financial reporting standards, and local legal requirements. The role requires close collaboration with internal and external partners to guarantee timely and accurate payment processing.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for the team, providing expert knowledge, support, and knowledge transfer to analysts.
• Monitor and ensure all payment transactions are executed within agreed service level agreements, handling high‑value invoices, manual payments, and project‑related one‑time payments.
• Coordinate with the Accounts Payable Service Desk and payment mailbox, ensuring timely response to queries and accurate clearing of outgoing payments.
• Generate monthly AP aging reports, perform GRIR clearing, and manage input VAT verification and reconciliation.
• Support audit activities, risk monitoring, and month‑end post‑mortem meetings with the manager.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• More than 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, including 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
• Basic knowledge of Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) and accounting functions.
