Finance Master Data Intern

About the role

This internship offers a hands‑on experience within BASF's Order to Cash (O2C) team, focusing on master data management for finance. You will work on real‑world projects that translate theoretical knowledge into actionable insights, while exploring digital tools for data handling and process optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Transform raw financial data into actionable insights using VBA macros, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Visualise and present data findings clearly to stakeholders across the O2C community.
• Collect, organise and interpret data to support continuous process improvement.
• Design and implement digital solutions that address specific business challenges.
• Assist in the optimisation of O2C processes by applying industry trends and new technologies.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Programming, Data Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of data analysis and statistical modelling; finance or accounting background is a plus.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Detail‑oriented, curious about emerging data technologies, and able to work independently.
• Availability for a 6‑month internship at Menara TM, Bangsar (Kuala Lumpur).
