Experienced Assurance Associate

About the role

PWC is seeking an Experienced Assurance Associate to join its audit and assurance team in Ipoh. You will work on statutory and regulatory audits, providing independent assessments of financial statements, internal controls and governance processes for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain reasonable assurance that financial statements are free from material misstatement.
• Evaluate compliance with relevant regulations and assess risk management controls.
• Prepare and issue auditor’s reports that include professional opinions.
• Collaborate with clients and team members across multiple engagements.
• Apply PwC audit methodology and technical standards throughout the audit lifecycle.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA‑CAANZ, CPA Australia) or working towards one.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in statutory and regulatory audits.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication abilities.
• Leadership potential, resilience and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical thinking and commercial awareness.
