Engineer (Fresh Entry) – Safety & Surveillance Systems (Oil & Gas)

About the role

This is an entry‑level engineering position focused on safety and surveillance systems for the oil & gas sector. The successful candidate will support project delivery, technical documentation, and on‑site activities while receiving specialized product training.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain weekly Project Management Reports for supervisors.
• Interact with business partners and principals to ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage resources and oversee project delivery to meet or exceed targets.
• Develop cost structures, technical data, and resource lists to support business development.
• Conduct site and plant surveys, produce technical reports, and prepare bill of quantities, functional designs, and compliance matrices.
• Participate in Factory/Site Acceptance Tests and generate related documentation.
• Verify subcontractor work quantities and compliance.
• Establish and monitor project execution guidelines.
• Compile and verify supporting documents for payment processes.
• Design and customize project monitoring tools using standard spreadsheet software.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (Bachelor’s or Post‑Graduate Advanced Diploma) in Electrical, Electronics, Communications or related engineering field.
• Malaysian citizen, under 26 years old, preferably male from Sabah or Sarawak.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willingness to work in offshore facilities or fabrication yards.
• Open to employment bonding for specialized product training.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent spreadsheet, word‑processing and presentation tools).
