Endpoint Application Packaging Engineer

About the role

Wilhelmsen is seeking an experienced Endpoint Application Packaging Engineer to design, package, and deploy secure enterprise applications across a large Windows endpoint environment. You will enable self‑service delivery models while supporting the organization’s move away from permanent local administrator rights.

Key responsibilities

• Package, test, and deploy enterprise applications for managed Windows endpoints using tools such as Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM.
• Create and maintain automation scripts, detection logic, and upgrade/uninstall engineering to ensure reliable application lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Service Management, and Business owners to verify secure delivery and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records in ServiceNow and produce technical documentation, knowledge articles, and runbooks.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of hands‑on enterprise endpoint/application packaging experience.
• Strong written and spoken English with the ability to explain technical risks to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Disciplined technical documentation skills and experience working in global, distributed teams.

Required skills

• Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Win32 deployment, MSI, MSIX, silent EXE installations.
• PowerShell scripting (including Windows Installer, registry, services, filesystem, scheduled tasks).
• PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit, Microsoft Graph/Intune APIs, Git, Azure DevOps or CI/CD automation.
• AppLocker, code signing, PKI concepts, Microsoft Defender, vulnerability‑management.
• ServiceNow ITSM, Software Asset Management, application compatibility testing.
