Electrical Inspector of Works

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector of Works to ensure electrical installations on site meet approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. You will work closely with the Resident Engineer and project team to deliver high‑quality outcomes on complex projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily electrical construction activities and verify compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and testing of electrical installations.
• Review electrical drawings and method statements, report discrepancies, and issue site memos for non‑compliant work.
• Support monthly progress claim verification and variation order preparation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, site activities, and progress.
• Participate in site meetings and coordinate with contractors and consultants.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering and registration as an Inspector of Works with BEM.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical supervision experience, preferably in industrial or institutional projects.
• Valid driving licence for site mobility.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and data centre infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD and BIM (preferred).
