Data Backup & Restore Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Data Backup & Restore Architect to join Commerzbank AG’s team in Petaling Jaya. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise‑wide backup solutions that support the bank’s data protection strategy. The position is full‑time, on‑site and offers a monthly salary between RM 6,000 and RM 8,000.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee the backup architecture to ensure alignment with the bank’s overall strategy.
• Provide deep technical expertise on enterprise data backup technologies.
• Work on‑site in Petaling Jaya to deliver backup solutions.
• Adhere to the defined shift covering Malaysia hours from 3 PM to 12 AM, which aligns with EMEA business hours (08:00‑17:00 UTC+1).

Required profile

• Strong understanding of enterprise‑level data backup and recovery concepts.
• Ability to work on‑site in Petaling Jaya and coordinate with EMEA teams during overlapping hours.
