Customs Executive – Asia Pacific Hub

About the role

We are looking for a Customs Executive to support the Asia Pacific Service Centre in Kuala Lumpur. The role ensures smooth customs operations, compliance and service excellence for BASF’s supply chain across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal partners to address trade‑compliance and supply‑chain queries.
• Review and validate import customs documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Manage the customs service mailbox and SharePoint/Teams folders, ensuring proper access, retention and record‑keeping.
• Prepare monthly statistics, KPI reports and dashboards for service recipients.
• Respond to ad‑hoc requests, support special projects and organise business reviews with regional units.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of customs regulations and foreign‑trade processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance and cost control.

Required skills

• SharePoint (document management and collaboration).
