Country Procurement Manager

About the role

We are entering an exciting growth phase and are looking for a Country Procurement Manager to join KONE Malaysia. Reporting to the Procurement Manager for KONE Southeast Asia, you will coordinate procurement activities for the local unit, aligning closely with business operations and frontline teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact and contract owner for all subcontractors and suppliers, managing contracts, purchase orders, and process improvements.
• Drive availability, quality, and cost development of local materials and services.
• Oversee purchase order management and facilitate cross‑functional cost and spend reviews.
• Supervise the Purchasing Coordinator and implement compliance audits.
• Execute global and frontline category plans, supporting strategic planning and execution.

Required profile

• Degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in procurement of direct materials or quantity surveying.
• Proven track record of cost savings in procurement or logistics.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a matrix organization and knowledge of the local supply market.
• Excellent negotiation and tendering abilities.
• Fluent English.
