Civil & Structural Inspector of Works

About the role

We are looking for a Civil & Structural Inspector of Works to join Aurecon’s team in Johor Bahru. The role involves ensuring that construction activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance on complex infrastructure and building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities against approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks and document results.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and method statements, reporting any discrepancies.
• Attend contractor inspections and testing, recording outcomes.
• Participate in site meetings and issue memos for non‑compliant work.
• Support monthly progress claim verification and variation order processing.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections and progress reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the site team.

Required profile

• Relevant diploma and registration as an Inspector of Works with BEM.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil and structural supervision, preferably on industrial or institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of data‑centre construction, precast structures, structural steel and local construction practices.
• Valid driving licence for site mobility.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with BIM tools.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
