Cargo Operations Officer – Import

About the role

The Cargo Operations Officer (Import) is responsible for overseeing daily cargo handling activities to ensure compliance with company policies, Malaysian civil aviation regulations, ICAO standards, IATA guidelines, and airline requirements. The role focuses on maintaining safe, efficient, and profitable cargo operations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all inbound shipments are safely received and that vendors correctly load palletized cargo.
• Ensure outbound cargo is accurately weighed and volumetrically measured according to airline specifications.
• Manage warehouse ramp activities, oversee load control, and confirm that all manifests and Unit Load Devices (ULDs) are finalized before cut‑off times.
• Coordinate the transfer of ULDs and ensure all outbound documentation is dispatched to aircraft prior to departure.
• Maintain compliance with CAAM, ICAO, IATA, and internal standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma in Cargo, Business, Logistics or related field with at least 1 year of cargo logistics experience, OR high school certificate with 2 years of airline experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate effectively in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a detail‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic computer literacy for handling cargo management systems.
