Business Reporting Associate Analyst (1‑Year Contract)

About the role

This position supports BASF’s internal customers by delivering accurate and timely business reporting services. The analyst will work closely with finance and controlling teams to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Produce business reporting deliverables with high accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
• Maintain master data for material ledger, inventory valuation, production planning budget, intra‑company transfer pricing, cost‑center accounting, fixed assets and project accounting.
• Calculate monthly standard and actual material prices and perform year‑end inventory valuation following BASF guidelines.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including cost‑center, cycle allocation and FICO reconciliation analysis.
• Analyse cost variations, non‑distributed price differences and plan‑vs‑actual manufacturing costs.
• Provide business analysis and advisory support to internal customers on reporting matters.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and act as a business partner to propose workable solutions.
• Back‑up the manager on daily tasks and participate in compliance audits.

• Effective communication skills in English.
