Business Relationship Manager

About the role

The Business Relationship Manager will act as a trusted advisor, linking Digital and Information Management (IM) functions with strategic business partners across Malaysia and the wider region. This senior position ensures alignment of vision, facilitates communication, and supports both transformational and business‑continuity initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure strategic vision alignment between Digital, IM and Airbus.
• Represent Digital and IM, promoting their vision, values, services and capabilities.
• Establish and nurture productive relationships with peers and business leaders to maintain a transparent, prioritized backlog of transformational and continuity objectives.
• Handle and facilitate escalations, reporting Digital and IM performance to the business.
• Uphold Airbus Values, Leadership Model and Code of Conduct, promoting awareness throughout the organization.
• Act as Proximity Manager for co‑located team members and serve as the local focal point for employee issues.
• Support trans‑national managers in local accountability, engagement feedback and alignment of outputs with expectations.
• Ensure staff wellbeing, cascade information effectively and coordinate local HR processes.
• Coach and mentor staff, supporting career development and monitoring staff whereabouts (leave, holidays, smart working).
• Lead and coach SRM activities for Thailand and Vietnam, covering strategic vision, budget, operational planning and portfolio management.
• Channel escalations, strategic and operational topics to the leadership team and act as interim SRM when needed.
