Business Development Manager – Legal & Corporate Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition for LexisNexis Legal & Professional across the legal, corporate, government and academic sectors in Malaysia. The role focuses on expanding our client base, delivering technology‑driven solutions that support the Rule of Law, and achieving ambitious sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
• Identify and engage potential clients through high‑volume outreach and cold calling.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, maintaining a robust pipeline.
• Build and nurture relationships with corporate counsels, law firm partners and C‑level executives.
• Conduct needs assessments and align LexisNexis solutions to client challenges.
• Provide ongoing client education and support to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Stay up‑to‑date on market trends, competitor offerings and emerging client needs.
• Use Salesforce to track pipeline, forecast sales and generate reports.
• Collaborate with marketing, product and customer success teams to tailor pitches for firms of all sizes.
• Contribute feedback for product innovation and business strategy.

Required profile

• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in B2B environments.
• Strong consultative selling approach with experience in legal, corporate or government sectors.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage a high volume of outreach and adapt strategies based on performance data.
