Associate Director, International Banking

About the role

ANZ’s Institutional Bank is looking for an Associate Director to support the Chief Representative and Director of International Banking in expanding the bank’s franchise in Malaysia. The position blends client coverage, business development, strategic planning and transaction execution across corporate and financial‑institution clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior leaders in managing and growing relationships with corporate and financial‑institution clients in Malaysia.
• Develop and deepen client relationships through regular engagement, participation in meetings and origination activities.
• Contribute to the formulation, monitoring and execution of the Malaysia franchise strategy, identifying growth opportunities and tracking strategic priorities.
• Coordinate the execution of client opportunities, working closely with product, risk, credit and analyst teams across the ANZ network.
• Support the identification of new business prospects and the expansion of ANZ’s share of wallet.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate or financial‑institution banking with a strong client‑coverage track record.
• Demonstrated ability to support business‑development initiatives and strategic planning.
• Experience working in a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment and managing complex transactions.
• Motivation to take on increasing responsibility for client relationships and franchise initiatives.
