Assistant Vice President – Client Account Management

About the role

Marsh is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join its FINPRO team in Kuala Lumpur. You will be the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day communication with complex client accounts, helping clients understand and place coverage for financial institutions, directors & officers, professional indemnity, crime and related risks.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for numerous and complex client accounts, managing ongoing communications and follow‑ups.
• Conduct client and industry research, benchmarking studies and risk mapping to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise between senior internal professionals and business accounts to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Resolve routine and complex account issues, escalating to senior colleagues when appropriate.
• Collect and report client satisfaction insights with recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain billing, transactional work, calendars and operational materials to support account delivery.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience in client service, account management, operations or a related field.
• Background in finance, corporate finance or law firms preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance, consulting, brokerage or professional services environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and related business tools.
