APAC Manager – Employee Benefits

About the role

Alcon is seeking an experienced professional to lead employee benefits across the APAC region. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Employee Benefits, you will ensure that benefit programs are aligned with global standards, compliant with local regulations, and competitive in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, administer and continuously optimise employee benefits policies and programmes across APAC.
• Conduct market benchmarking studies and analyse benefit plans to stay competitive.
• Support harmonisation, integration and benefit activities related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Monitor legal and regulatory changes in each country and ensure full compliance.
• Oversee retirement‑plan implementation in collaboration with local HR and benefit vendors.
• Provide regional oversight of global benefits governance and ensure adherence to global frameworks.
• Handle executive or international benefit plan components as required.
• Collaborate with HR business partners, vendors, brokers and consultants on renewals, communications and contract negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably Actuarial Science or Management); Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong proficiency in English; additional language (Chinese or Japanese) a plus.
• Minimum 7 years managing global or multi‑country benefits programmes, with at least 5 years focused on defined benefit or defined contribution pension plans.
