Accounts Executive

About the role

Wilhelmsen Ship Management is seeking an Accounts Executive to join its finance team in Kuala Lumpur. You will support vessel owners and internal managers by handling cash calls, bank reconciliations, payroll verification and monthly financial reporting for a fleet of ships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update monthly funds requests and schedules for vessel owners.
• Post bank‑related entries via the FEBA system and perform vessel bank reconciliations.
• Verify payroll, cash‑on‑board balances, purchases and expense documentation.
• Process requisition forms, manning‑agent disbursements and appropriate journal entries (accruals, adjustments, amortisation).
• Reconcile balance‑sheet items such as advances, accounts payable, crew wages and cash to master.
• Conduct analytical reviews and submit accurate monthly reports to owners and management centres.
• Maintain organized filing of financial statements, bank statements, budgets and related correspondence.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines and respond promptly to owner queries.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the FEBA accounting system.
