Accounting to Reporting Specialist (APJC)

About the role

Our client is a global healthcare leader with a diversified portfolio of medicines, vaccines and animal health products. The Accounting to Reporting (AtR) Specialist will ensure that transactions for the APJC market are properly accounted for, reflected in the general ledger and compliant with US GAAP, local statutory and tax requirements. The role partners with local finance teams and virtual finance groups to support accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general ledger support and period‑end close for the AP region.
• Maintain accurate country‑level accounting ledgers and ensure timely posting of transactions.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and sign‑off the final financial package and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate with local finance teams, virtual finance teams and the outsourced BPO partner to ensure compliance with US GAAP, local statutory and tax requirements, and SOX controls.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities, participate in global projects and meet defined KPIs and SLAs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 4 years of finance/accounting experience in a multinational, preferably pharmaceutical, with exposure to US and non‑US GAAP.
• Business‑level English (spoken and written) and ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.

Required skills

• SAP (experience desired).
• US GAAP and non‑US GAAP knowledge.
• Balance‑sheet account reconciliations.
• Advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
