Senior Associate, Nexus Client Delivery

About the role

MUFG Investor Services, a division of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, is hiring a Senior Associate for its Nexus Client Delivery team in Kuala Lumpur. The role sits within fund administration and involves processing transactions, preparing Net Asset Value (NAV) packages and supporting audits and client queries.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately process transactions in the accounting system as required, understanding their impact on the fund's NAV.
• Prepare Net Asset Value packages and all supporting schedules for review by senior team members.
• Assist in the audit process, prepare financial statements or review them if prepared by others.
• Ensure all deliverables and client queries meet the SLA.
• Carry out processes in line with operational controls (SOC1) and complete all relevant checklists.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy while delivering a high level of client service.
• Suggest improvements to procedures and the client experience to more senior staff.
• Ensure fees are billed on time and collected promptly.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• Post-secondary education with a concentration in finance or accounting.
• At least 2 years of experience in the fund administration industry, which can include other administrators, investment managers or fund auditors.
• Completion or interest in a professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CFA or equivalent) is an advantage but not required.
