Senior Associate, Fund Accounting

About the role

MUFG Investor Services, which provides asset servicing solutions to the global investment management industry, is hiring a Senior Associate for Fund Accounting in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves processing transactions accurately, preparing Net Asset Value packages and supporting audits, with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately in the accounting system and understand their impact on the fund's NAV
• Prepare Net Asset Value packages and supporting schedules for review by senior team members
• Assist in the audit process, prepare financial statements or review them if prepared by others
• Ensure deliverables and client queries meet the SLA and that processes follow operational controls (SOC1) and checklists
• Keep fees billed and collected on time and suggest improvements to procedures to senior staff
• Handle ad-hoc tasks as required

Required profile

• Post-secondary education with a concentration in finance or accounting
• At least 2 years' experience in fund administration, including other administrators, investment managers or fund auditors
• Completion or interest in a professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CFA or equivalent) is an advantage but not required
