Senior Strategic Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Buyer to develop and execute category sourcing strategies that support business growth, deliver cost competitiveness, ensure supply continuity, and drive supplier innovation for Nestlé’s operations in Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category sourcing strategies, including communication and supplier management plans.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet business, quality, service, and cost requirements.
• Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization and deliver sustainable cost efficiencies.
• Ensure supplier compliance with Nestlé Supplier Code and responsible sourcing requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to identify and implement innovation opportunities supporting growth and renovation initiatives.
• Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and deliver agreed service levels and sourcing support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics or supply chain management.
• Proven experience managing sourcing projects, supplier negotiations and competitive bidding exercises.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management and commercial evaluation.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously.
