Operations Associate

About the role

Siepe is a fast‑growing technology company serving hedge funds and financial services firms. As an Operations Associate in Kuala Lumpur you will support US and European private‑credit and structured‑finance clients, working non‑standard hours to align with their business days.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret agent bank notices, settlement and credit documents with attention to detail.
• Create, review and validate client reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Settle trades, double‑check trade bookings and reconcile cash and loan trades using Siepe’s fintech platform.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies by checking source documents and external databases.
• Maintain accurate asset data, portfolio positions and compliance models.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve data‑maintenance and reconciliation issues and suggest workflow improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related).
• Up to two years of professional experience; financial‑services exposure a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Fluent English; conversational Mandarin Chinese is an advantage.
• Authorization to work in Malaysia without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Intermediate Excel skills and understanding of financial spreadsheets.
