History Teacher (KSSM) for Secondary School

About the role

The Asia Pacific Schools national secondary school is seeking an experienced teacher to deliver the KSSM Sejarah (History) curriculum from September 2026. The role focuses on providing high‑quality, engaging lessons that support student achievement and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess KSSM History lessons, ensuring curriculum coverage, continuity and progression for all learners.
• Identify under‑achieving pupils using data, develop and implement targeted intervention plans.
• Act as Homeroom Teacher for an assigned class, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers to communicate progress, set targets and celebrate achievements.
• Participate in school events, open evenings and marketing activities to promote the school’s ethos.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, with a teaching qualification.
• Minimum two years full‑time experience teaching KSSM Sejarah in a national secondary school.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to teach additional subjects such as KSSM Geography or Pendidikan Moral is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills, responsible, patient and committed to safeguarding students.
