Solar QAQC Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Solar PV QAQC Engineer to join the EPCM team for the LSS5 project in Kampung Gajah, Perak, Malaysia. The role involves supervising mechanical and electrical construction activities, ensuring quality compliance, and providing technical support to the project owner.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all mechanical and electrical construction activities performed by the EPC contractor.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor construction timelines, and manage logistics and material handover.
• Ensure all materials and works comply with contractual specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation, including certificates, calibration records, test results, and non‑compliance reports.
• Perform internal audits, monitor regulatory compliance, and oversee commissioning tests.
• Prepare progress and QAQC reports, propose solutions to construction issues, and represent the project owner in technical meetings.
• Coordinate with the owner’s engineer, lender technical advisor, and independent engineer on design, QAQC, and construction matters.
• Enforce health and safety requirements, manage risks, create punch lists, and handle all tasks related to solar plant construction.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of large‑scale solar PV EPCC experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal).
• Possession of CIDB Green Card and NTSP/NTSPL certifications.
• Work rights in Malaysia.
