Senior Operator, Production

About the role

As a Senior Operator you will lead field activities, ensuring safety and operational excellence while supervising junior operators under the direction of your superior.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all staff and contractors follow BASF’s SHE standards and transport safety regulations.
• Oversee raw material unloading, tank farm monitoring, sampling, and housekeeping activities.
• Manage duty rosters, distribute daily tasks, and act as trainer for junior operators.
• Maintain accurate field log sheets, checklists, and documentation.
• Handle material receiving and delivery, including weighing, inspection, and documentation of flexibags and isotanks.
• Monitor tank farm temperature, humidifier pumps, and conduct plant hygiene procedures such as H₂O₂ spraying.

Required profile

• Diploma in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in chemical process operations.
• At least 2 years experience in an ED plant.
• Knowledge of chemical process equipment such as pumps, valves, and reactors.
• Willingness to be based in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
