Senior Accounts Executive

About the role

Join Wilhelmsen Ship Management’s global finance team as a Senior Accounts Executive. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end financial accounting, reporting and compliance for a portfolio of vessels while supporting process improvements and transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts, ensuring accurate daily AR and AP operations.
• Execute monthly and annual financial closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and reconciliations.
• Produce management reports and financial statements in a timely manner.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve long‑outstanding items.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, manage vendor payments, customer collections, billing and credit control.
• Assist with statutory compliance, tax return preparation and liaison with auditors, tax agents and regulatory authorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, support ERP implementation and automation projects.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and assist the superior with ad‑hoc tasks.
