Senior Accountant

About the role

This role will be very hands on and play an integral part in all aspects of accounting operations with opportunities to work on a variety of projects and functional areas. The ideal candidate will be someone who can roll up their sleeves to execute accounting operations efficiently, identify and resolve issues independently, and work collaboratively with team members locally and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation, perform analytical review of account activity, and track accruals and expenses while ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Process accounting functions including accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, payroll, intercompany and transfer pricing.
• Assist with preparation and filing of VAT returns for international operations.
• Lead and assist in preparing audit schedules, coordinate with auditors and respond to queries.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and conduct global payroll reconciliations.
• Support Finance team (AR, AP, Treasury, FP&A) with reviews, queries, and control accounts.
• Collaborate with FP&A to enhance reliability and accuracy of group forecasts and reports.
• Develop and implement new accounting policies, controls, and procedures.
• Identify process improvement opportunities within the international accounting function.

Required profile

• Accounting qualification – ACA, ACCA or CPA.
• 5+ years of general accounting experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong proficiency with Excel.
• Experience with Netsuite, Coupa and other accounting tools.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; other languages a plus.
• Willingness to work on EMEA hours.
• Ability to navigate and communicate in a cross‑functional, multicultural environment.
