Project Engineer - Subsea Pipelines

About the role

EnerMech, a specialist service company delivering integrated solutions for complex energy projects, is expanding its Subsea Pipelines capability in Malaysia and is looking for a Project Engineer. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of subsea pipeline and pre-commissioning projects across Malaysia and the wider APAC region, working closely with operations, clients and regional leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of subsea pipeline and pre-commissioning projects from planning through to offshore delivery
• Coordinate mobilisation of personnel, equipment and vessels
• Deliver and support subsea pipelines and SURF operations, pigging and pipeline cleaning, pre-commissioning and commissioning, umbilical and riser testing and flushing, nitrogen dewatering and FCGT, and subsea pumping and testing units
• Assist in pipeline engineering scope including calculations, testing, integrity and system readiness
• Support tendering: technical evaluations, cost inputs and proposal development
• Interface with clients on technical delivery, with exposure to business development and tender support
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and operational standards
• Support technical proposals, project documentation and execution plans

Required profile

• 10+ years' experience in subsea, pipeline or pre-commissioning environments
• Strong technical understanding with a willingness to be hands-on
• Good knowledge of the local Malaysian supply chain and vendor landscape
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Outgoing, client-focused personality able to build strong customer relationships

Required skills

• Experience in tendering, technical calculations and project execution
• Nitrogen membrane dewatering and coil tubing experience is ideal
• Project execution experience in Indonesia is an added advantage
• Exposure to business development or client interaction is an advantage
