Payroll & People Data Analyst (Japanese Speaker) – 1‑year contract

About the role

The Payroll & People Data Analyst supports business needs by delivering accurate payroll, HR data and system services, while ensuring compliance with local legislation and providing day‑to‑day HR assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure data quality and integrity for payroll and HR data processes.
• Receive, analyse and process personnel administration requests across multiple channels.
• Manage full termination workflows, including leave calculations, payments and exit clearance.
• Administer time and attendance, manual allowances/deductions, work schedules and shift substitutions.
• Support payroll inputs such as employee subsidies, fleet management and long‑service awards.
• Assist salary review exercises, preparing letters and processing new salaries.
• Handle local labour administration and statutory HR reporting to meet legal deadlines.
• Design and deliver country‑specific or custom reports not auto‑generated by existing systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Commerce, Business Administration or Finance.
• 1–2 years of experience in payroll and HR operations.
• Working knowledge of integrated payroll systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficiency in Japanese language and cultural understanding.
• Familiarity with HR principles and employee legislation of the supported location.
