About the role

Tenby Schools Ipoh is seeking a qualified School Lab Assistant to oversee laboratory operations, enforce safety measures, and support students and staff during experiments, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist teachers and students during practical experiments.
  • Maintain a secure, organized, and educational laboratory atmosphere.
  • Handle hazardous materials safely and respond to emergencies.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a postgraduate teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in laboratory‑related work.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with strong interpersonal communication.

Required skills

  • Computer literacy.
  • Expertise in laboratory safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials and emergency response.
