Junior Data Scientist

About the role

Zurich relies on insightful data to power its systems and solutions. We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist who will deliver daily insights, ask critical questions, and uncover hidden opportunities within our data. The role sits within a team of specialists focused on innovative statistical modelling and AI techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to understand data needs and develop solutions.
• Research and devise innovative statistical models, including generative AI, LLMs and agentic AI.
• Identify, integrate and mine new structured and unstructured datasets for business use.
• Develop, fine‑tune and deploy large language models and agentic AI systems on Azure platforms.
• Communicate findings and analytical results to stakeholders across the organization.

Required profile

• Five or more years of experience in data science or a proven equivalent track record.
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; graduate degree in Data Science preferred.
• Strong mathematical foundation, analytical mindset and business acumen.

• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS
