Senior Associate, Clinical Applications Services & Support (GEM)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate to provide clinical application services and support for its GEM portfolio. The role involves training surgeons and operating‑room staff on Alcon’s cataract and refractive surgical devices, ensuring safe and optimal use across clinical sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical and clinical training to surgeons and OR staff on approved use of Alcon cataract and refractive devices.
• Provide on‑site and remote clinical support, answering scientific and technical inquiries.
• Implement equipment and software upgrades at clinical sites.
• Document site visits in the CRM tool within 48 hours.
• Report adverse events and device deficiencies to Medical Safety.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers and Sales representatives for installations, troubleshooting, and training scheduling.
• Feed product performance feedback to R&D and respond to unsolicited information requests per SOPs.
• Participate in medical congresses, conferences, wet‑labs, and convention demonstrations as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Optometry degree is a plus).
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in clinical applications or medical device support.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain clinical certifications relevant to the role.
