Network Command & Control Engineering Lead

About the role

Mastercard’s Data Center & Network Services organization is seeking a leader to oversee network command and control across the region. The role is responsible for managing major network incidents, ensuring rapid service restoration, and driving continuous improvement of network operations.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of major network incidents, acting as the single point of control during high‑priority events.
• Lead incident response across NOC, engineering, and vendor teams, coordinating technical bridge calls and war rooms.
• Provide real‑time updates to senior leadership and escalate critical issues as needed.
• Document incident timelines, produce post‑incident reports, and track lessons learned.
• Analyze incident trends, recommend preventive measures, and improve detection and response processes.
• Ensure monitoring systems are correctly configured and align incident handling with regulatory and security requirements.
• Coordinate with external vendors and partners when shared infrastructure is affected.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading network operations or incident management teams.
• Strong understanding of telecom regulations and security frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder updates and cross‑team coordination.
